On the day of the event, some kind souls arrive at the church while most of us are still sleeping, to start cooking the turkeys. About an hour before worship service, everyone else begins to arrive, with a side-dish or dessert, to share. The dinner is served shortly after the worship service. Leftovers are brought to those who are home-bound.
