Much of the results from the years' fundraising are put toward those in need during the Christmas season. Mugs holding toiletries and gift cards are wrapped and distributed to the local shelters and soup kitchens, along with hats, gloves, socks and sweatshirts. The domestic violence shelter receives house-keeping type items, gas cards, movie passes, gift cards to local retail and grocery stores, board games, dish sets and sheets. Items from wish lists created by families transitioning out of the shelter are given a great deal of attention, as well.
