Hello to all,

'Tis the season for giving and once again the Board of Missions are in the midst of preparing for our Christmas Outreach.  We will be preparing mugs and gift cards for the Eddie Shelter, the Shepherd Home and the Soup Kitchen.  Last year we set a new record of 200 mugs.  We would love to be able to meet that record. 

We will also be helping families who have sought protection from domestic violence at the New Horizons Domestic Violence Shelter. 

We have been so blessed with your generosity in previous years that has enabled us to bring the joy of Christmas to so many less fortunate.  This year more than ever the need is great.  Any donation you can make of the following items would go a long way in making sure that our brothers and sisters in Christ feel God's loving hand lifting them from despair. 

For the Christmas Season we are in need of donations of:

For Eddy Shelter, Shepherd Home and Soup Kitchen:

Small soaps / shampoos

small plastic combs

mugs or cups preferably with seasonal designs

thin wash clothes

toothpaste

individually packaged toothbrushes

Large men and women's winter gloves

winter hats (Wal-Mart has them for $1)

socks

sweatshirts

gift cards to Wal-Mart, Stop & Shop, A&P

For New Horizons Domestic Violence Shelter:

Gas Cards

Movie Passes

Gift cards to book stores, Wal-Mart, grocery stores, Target, etc

Board Games

New dish sets

Queen size sheets

 We will have a collection box set up in the Education Area for donations.  We would ask that Gift Cards be given to a Missions Member rather than being placed in the box.
