You
will be greeted by either an Usher or a Deacon, who will provide you
with a
copy of the Order of Worship, assisting you in finding a seat, should
you wish.
Additionally, the youth accompanying you will be invited to participate
in our
Sunday school program or, take part in our staffed nursery, if desired.
In anticipation of the 10:00 service, you will have the opportunity to
catch up
with fellow parishioners or, to take some reflective time, enjoying the
music
provided by our organist.
The service will begin with a good morning from the Minister, who will
then ask
if there are any guests. Following the distribution of guest
cards (these
should be filled out and placed in the offering plate, if you wish to
be
contacted at a later date), the congregation will join in the welcoming
and
blessing of our guests.
There will be a request for any announcements of upcoming church
activities.
Worship will begin with a Choral call to Worship, followed by a
Responsive Call
to Worship, lead by either the Minister or a Deacon.
The Hymn of Praise will precede the Prayer of Invocation, which is
recited in
unison, ending with the Lord's Prayer and, the singing of the Gloria
Patri. A
Responsive Reading, lead by either the Minister or a Deacon, found in
the back
of the Hymnal, may be read.
An opportunity to greet one another will follow the prayer of
dedication and
thankfulness, after the collection of the weekly offering.
Following the Hymn of Devotion, a chance for members of the
congregation to
share joys and concerns is presented. The pastoral prayer will include
an
opportunity for silent prayer.
The Scripture reading will precede Reflections from the minister.
Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. All are invited to
partake
in this Sacrament. You need not be a member of the church. Communion is
served by the Deacons, to the congregation, who remain in their seats.
Small cubes of bread are served first and, are taken, following
reflections from the Minister. This is followed by the distribution of
the cup, which is juice served in small cups and, is taken in like

The Hymn of Commitment will be
followed by the
Benediction.
All are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall to enjoy donuts,
coffee and
fellowship, after the singing of the Congregational Response, which is
found in
the very back of the Hymnal.
